November 16, 2006 -- Three members of the Oberlin women's soccer team were named All-North Coast Athletic Conference after a vote conducted by the league's coaches. Senior forward Sam Schongalla received second team All-NCAC recognition, while classmates Kym Buzdygon and Mei-Lin Ha were named honorable mention All-NCAC.
Schongalla had an outstanding senior season for Head Coach Andy Nelson, finishing the year ranked second in the NCAC in goals per game (0.53) and third in points per contest (1.21). The Alexandria, Virginia, native's all-conference nod was her first since her rookie season in 2003 when she was named second team All-NCAC.
Buzdygon, a midfielder, started in 14 games this season for the Yeowomen. Mei-Lin Ha scored a goal this year from her defensive position, earning All-NCAC accolades for the third time in her career. The Berkeley, California, native received second team All-NCAC honors last season and was named honorable mention All-NCAC in 2004.
