Final Stats

April 23 –
Despite winning 20 of the game’s 34 draw controls, the Oberlin College women’s lacrosse team fell to the Kenyon College Ladies, 22-12, in their final home game of the season.

First-year Taylor Fey once again paced the Oberlin offense with five goals, lifting her season total to 55 on the year. In her last game on the Oberlin pitch, senior Kaitlin Barrer added three goals, while Scarlett Prati and Maggie Casey each added two of their own.

The Ladies started the first half very strong, displaying great speed and agility to build a 13-3 half-time advantage. Kenyon cage dweller, Chase Kreuter also turned away nine Yeowomen shots in the half.

After the break Oberlin stepped up their game and their offensive unit was able to find the back of the net nine times, matching Kenyon’s total for the half.

Kira Rivera played goalkeeper for the match-up and had a total of seven saves.

Oberlin travels to Wittenberg on Saturday for a 6 p.m. meeting with Tigers to close out its 2008 campaign.
