The Yeowomen were defeated today by Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, 5-17, in their final home game of the season. With the defeat, Oberlin fell to 6-8 overall, while the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps improved to 15-0 on the season.
Oberlin was led today by sophomore Lela Hull, who scored two goals and won six draw controls. The Yeomen were also led by sophomore Dana Rich, who scored two goals and won two draw controls. First-year Scarlett Prati also scored one goal in the contest.
Seniors Callie Gropp and Lynn Gerbec played in their final home contest in an Oberlin College uniform. Gropp had four ground balls in the contest, while Gerbec grabbed two.
Four different members of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps had three goals each.
The Yeowomen return to action on May 1, when they travel to Kenyon College for their final regular season contest. The North Coast Athletic Conference match-up is set for 4:30 p.m. in Gambier, Ohio.
