Five Women's Lacrosse Players Earn All-North Coast Athletic Conference Honors
Lela Hull named to first team for second straight year

May 18, 2007 -- Five Oberlin College women's lacrosse players were recently named All-North Coast Athletic Conference for their efforts during the 2007 season. After a vote conducted by the league's coaches, the Yeowomen had one player on both the first and second team and three honorable mention All-NCAC selections.

Highlighting the all-conference group for Oberlin was sophomore Lela Hull (Cumberland, Maine/Greely). In just two seasons as an attacker for the Yeowomen, Hull has accumulated an impressive 99 goals. This season, she finished the year second in the NCAC in points (74), goals (51), and assists (23), and convincingly led the conference in draw controls (70). Scarlett Prati (Cloverdale, Calif./Sonoma Academy) also had an outstanding 2007 campaign for Head Coach Deb Ranieri, earning second team All-NCAC accolades. In just her first year at Oberlin, Prati netted 40 goals and dished out seven assists.

Sophomore attacker Dana Rich (Avon, Conn./Kingswood-Oxford School), junior midfielder Beth Gula (Silversprings, Md./Montgomery Blair), and senior defender Lynn Gerbec (Chicago, Ill./Northside Prep.) all earned honorable mention All-NCAC recognition. Rich, who was an honorable mention all-league selection last year as well, scored 24 goals and had six assists this season. Gula netted 22 goals and passed for five assists, while Gerbec led the Yeowomen with 32 ground balls and 23 caused turnovers.
