April 26 – In their final game of the season, it was not to be for the Oberlin College women’s lacrosse team as they were defeated by Wittenberg University 19-8 on Saturday evening.
April 23 – Despite winning 20 of the game’s 34 draw controls, the Oberlin College women’s lacrosse team fell to the Kenyon College Ladies, 22-12, in their final home game of the season.
April 19 - Senior Day for the Oberlin College women’s lacrosse team didn’t turn out the way they would have liked as the Yeowomen fell to Colorado College 21-12 on Saturday afternoon.
April 16 - With the sun shining down on a breezy afternoon, the Oberlin women’slacrosse team stepped out onto their home field looking for a turn around from the past weekend’s loss to Allegheny and they got just that be beating Washington and Jefferson 15-7 on Wednesday afternoon.
April 12 - On another cold, grey Saturday afternoon, the Oberlin Yeowomen stepped out onto their home field to take on the Allegheny Gators. After 60 minutes of intense play and many lead changes the Yeowomen fell to the Gators 18-17.
April 10 – Despite four goals and two assists from Taylor Fey, the Oberlin College women’s lacrosse team could not keep up the offensive pressure in the second half as they fell to The College of Wooster, 26-6, on Thursday afternoon.
April 5 – The Oberlin women’s lacrosse team stepped out this morning on a cold, grey field to play Ohio Wesleyan University in their fist home game of the season. The Yeowomen fought hard but fell 20- 9 to the Battling Bishops.
April 3 – The Oberlin College women’s lacrosse team triggered just six shots as they fell to SUNY-Fredonia 17-2 on Thursday afternoon.
April 1 – In their first conference game of the season, the Oberlin College women’s lacrosse team had a great effort, but came up short in a 21-13 defeat to Denison on Tuesday evening.
March 31 – Oberlin College first-year student-athletes Taylor Fey and Joanna Johnson earned North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week honors in their respective sports of women’s lacrosse and track and field, the league office released on Monday evening.
March 28 –The Oberlin College women’s lacrosse team concluded its three game spring break swing to the west coast Friday evening losing to University of Puget Sound.
March 26 – The Oberlin College women’s lacrosse team used sound defense and very efficient offense to breeze by Linfield College, 15-9 on Wednesday night.
March 24 – First-year sensation Taylor Fey had 10 goals, and sophomore Scarlett Prati added six of her own to guide the Oberlin College women’s lacrosse team to a 22-20 victory over Pacific University on Monday night.
March 15 – In front of a large alumni-based crowd, the Oberlin College women’s lacrosse team fought hard, but could not overcome a great goaltending performance by Marymount in a 20-9 defeat.
March 12 – The Oberlin College women’s lacrosse team had a very impressive season debut, but came up just short as they fell to Adrian College, 18-17, on Wednesday afternoon.
- Three of Oberlin's athletics teams - track and field, swimming and diving, and women's lacrosse - recently earned accolades for their top-notch performances in the classroom during the 2006-2007 academic year.
- Three Oberlin College women's lacrosse players were recently named All-Region (West Region) by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association for their efforts during the 2007 season. The Yeowomen had one player on the first team and two players on the second team. |
