November 16, 2007 -- The Oberlin women's basketball team began its 2007-2008 season tonight at Hope College. The hosts forced 38 Oberlin turnovers and shot 47.7 percent from the floor to roll to a 93-44 non-conference win at the DeVos Field House.
Oberlin was led in the loss by first-year Katie Thompson, who scored 14 points on 4-5 shooting, including 3-4 from three-point range. Junior Alyssa Clark scored eight points and dished out three assists for the Yeowomen, while Roneisha Kinney netted seven points and pulled down 10 rebounds.
Hope was led in the win by Lindsay Lange's 12 points and three assists.
Oberlin will return to action tomorrow in a Hope Tournament consolation contest.
