November 27 -- Fourteen different players scored for Baldwin-Wallace College in an 87-37 defeat of Oberlin College tonight in women's basketball.
The Yellow Jackets opened the game on an 8-0 run and never looked back. Baldwin-Wallace shot an eye-popping 55.6% from behind the three-point arc and grabbed 51 rebounds, including 21 on the offensive glass. Senior guard Selena Eskinazi-Budge paced the squad with 14 points and 11 rebounds, while junior guard Amanda Mondrach added 14 points on 6-7 shooting.
"Baldwin-Wallace played excellent basketball tonight," said Oberlin Head Coach Christa Champion. "They shot the ball extremely well even when we pressured them. Games like this are tough for us, but they also help us grow as a team."
Junior forward Alyssa Clark led Oberlin with 13 points and six rebounds, both team highs, in 35 minutes of play. Senior post Roneisha Kinney added 11 points and three rebounds, The Yeowomen shot just 27.5% from the field and committed 23 turnovers.
Baldwin-Wallace improves to 5-0 overall, while Oberlin falls to 1-3. The Yeowomen take the court again on December 5 at The College of Wooster.
