Volleyball Downs Westminster, 3-2; Defeated by Wooster, 2-3
First-year Anna Frackman named to all-tournament team

September 15, 2007 -- The Oberlin volleyball team won its second match of the season today by defeating Westminster College, 3-2 (21-30, 20-30, 30-23, 30-15, 15-11). Later in the afternoon, the Yeowomen were edged by Wooster, 2-3 (26-30, 30-21, 27-30, 30-23, 16-14). First-year Anna Frackman, who paced Oberlin throughout the Westminster Tournament, was named to the All-Tournament Team.

Against Westminster, senior Deysi Villarreal had 11 kills and racked up 36 assists, while first-year Amanda Wysk accumulated 18 kills, hitting .240. Frackman also had a tremendous match, amassing 18 kills (.245). In the nightcap, sophomore Tammela Platt had 43 digs, while Frackman put away 16 kills and classmate Maggie Jacobson had eight kills (.462).
