-- Maggie Jacobson, a first-year middle-hitter on the Oberlin volleyball team, was named the North Coast Athletic Conference's Player of the Week after leading the Yeowomen to a 3-1 week. She led Oberlin to its first NCAC victory since October of 2003 with a 3-2 win over Ohio Wesleyan.
Jacobson, a first-year from Carefree, Arizona (Cactus Shadow High School) tallied 23 kills, five blocks, and seven service aces in the four games. She had six of the Yeowomen's 18 aces against Chatham. Defensively, the 5'11" Jacobson had 20 digs this past week.
Jacobson and the Yeowomen will look to stay hot when they host Denison University for NCAC showdown on October 24 at 7:00 p.m.
