-- In a North Coast Athletic Conference volleyball match at Allegheny College (Pa.), Oberlin was defeated this evening by the host Gators, 0-3 (22-30, 16-30, 14-30). The loss dropped the Yeowomen's record to 5-15 overall and 0-10 in the NCAC, while Allegheny bettered its record to 7-14 (3-6 NCAC).
Leading Oberlin against Allegheny was sophomore Caitlin Donnelly, who had seven kills, seven digs, and a block assist. First-year setter Rita Kaplon added 13 assists, 10 digs, and three kills in the contest.
Oberlin will make the trip back from Meadville tonight to quickly return to action tomorrow afternoon when Hiram and Thiel (Pa.) visit Philips Gymnasium. The action against the Terriers and Tomcats is slated to begin at noon.
