-- Oberlin College hosted Allegheny College (Pa.) this evening for a North Coast Athletic Conference contest at Philips Gymnasium. The visiting Gators edged the Yeowomen for the win tonight, earning game victories of 30-18, 30-15, and 30-22.
"Our defense was definitely much better tonight," Head Coach Carey Cavanaugh said. "We just need to put our ourselves in the position to win and decrease our errors."
With the defeat, Oberlin slipped to 2-4 (0-2 NCAC), while Allegheny improved to 4-5 and 1-0 in conference competition.
The Yeowomen will have an opportunity to get back on the winning track soon, though, as they voyage to Hiram College tomorrow morning for a tri-match slated to begin at 11:00 a.m.
