April 23 – For the fourth-straight week, an Oberlin College track and field athlete has earned weekly recognition from the North Coast Athletic Conference as junior Ryan King was tabbed as the NCAC Men’s Middle Distance Runner of the Week on Tuesday.
King, a native of Glastonbury, CT (Glastonbury HS), helped the Yeomen finish in fourth place at the Kenyon Invitational over the weekend after he posted a life-time best time of 1:56.07 in the 800 meters to end the event in third place.
King joins teammates Joanna Johnson (March 31), Anna Chernin (April 8) and Madeline Schultz (April 14) as those who have been recognized by the conference during the outdoor season.
Oberlin will play host to the Robert Kahn Invitational on Friday, before hosting the NCAC Multi-Event Champions on Saturday and Sunday of this week.
