Game One Box l Game Two Box
April 6 – The Oberlin College softball team had just one hit in each game as they were blanked the Ohio Wesleyan Battling Bishops 8-0 and 10-0 on Sunday afternoon in North Coast Athletic Conference action in Delaware, Ohio.
In game one, Bishops’ pitcher Rachel Seibel proved to be too much for the Oberlin hitters as she registered 14 strikeouts in the game. Julia Chauvin had the lone hit for the Yeowomen with a single to left field in the fourth inning.
In game two, Michelle Zanni broke up the no-hitter for Catrice Mayweather in the fourth inning with an RBI single to left field. OWU was leading just 1-0 nothing as OC starter Jennifer Sees was dealing on the mound, however, the Bishops’ bats busted out for nine runs in the home-half of the fourth inning to put things out of reach.
The Yeowomen will look to bounce back on Thursday, April 10, when they make the short trek over to the Notre Dame College of Cleveland for an afternoon double-dip. First pitch is slated for 3:30 p.m. |
