Game One Box l Game Two Box
April 27 – In their final NCAC doubleheader of the season it was not be for the Oberlin College softball team as they were swept by Denison University, 7-0 and 8-0, on Sunday afternoon in Granville, Ohio.
In game two, Oberlin had five hits as Michelle Zanni, Sophie Schact, Ruth Allanbrook, Jennifer Sees and Kate Phillips all had one each. Unfortunately for the Yeowomen they couldn’t string any of them together to push a run across the plate.
Denison led 1-0 through two innings, but busted things open with a sixth-run third and never looked back.
In game one, the Big Red got a stellar pitching performance from Bri Scrofano as she struck out eight and surrendered just one hit.
Oberlin will wrap-up its 2008 campaign with a non-conference doubleheader on Monday at Franciscan University. First pitch is slated for 4 p.m.
