Lauren Luther (Fr.)

April 30, 2007 -- Head Coach Adrienne Davis's Oberlin softball team finished its 2007 season on a high note with a 5-3 win over host Cuyahoga Community College. Earlier in the day, the Yeowomen were defeated by Tri-C, 1-6, to split the non-conference doubleheader.

First-year Lauren Luther led Oberlin to victory in the nightcap by roping her fourth and fifth double of the season to go along with a pair of runs batted in. Junior outfielder Ashley Gorham went a perfect 1-1 with two sacrifice hits on the day, while junior infielder Spencer McCaffrey went 2-4 with a double. Sophomore catcher Leah Pine and first-year Julia Chauvin added a triple and double, respectively.

In game one, first-year Kate Phillips paced the Yeowomen by going 1-2 with a run batted in. Chauvin scored Oberlin's lone run in the contest.
