April 3, 2007 -- A beautiful sunny day for softball in Oberlin was spoiled by visiting Allegheny College, as the Gators defeated the Yeowomen 9-1 and 12-0 to improve to 7-11 (2-0 North Coast Athletic Conference) on the year. Oberlin's record slipped to 1-11 overall and 0-2 in league play with the losses.
Oberlin was led at the plate today by junior outfielder Ashley Gorham, who went 2-3 and scored the Yeowomen's lone run in the twinbill. Allegheny was led in victory by junior Abby Bodenlos, who went 5-8 with four runs scored, four stolen bases, and a run batted in. &
The Yeowomen will return quickly to action as they host Myers University tomorrow afternoon for a 3:00 p.m. non-conference twinbill.
