Complete Results vs. Wooster
April 27 – Oberlin defeated Wittenberg 5-2 early in the day, but fell to Wooster 5-1 in its second match to finish in sixth place at the NCAC Men’s Tennis Tournament at the newly dedicated Don Hunsinger Courts on the campus of Oberlin College.
The Yeomen rolled right past the Tigers as Chris Pray, David Midler and Ezra Goldman won at singles slots one through three.
Pray and Goldman also defeated Brad Seymour and Robert Fisher by an 8-3 count in No. 1 doubles.
Leo Sprinzen and Midler once again proved why they are consider one of the best No. 3 doubles teams in the NCAC with an 8-0 whitewashing of Greg Harvey and Andy Lamb.
Unfortunately, Oberlin’s luck ran out in the fifth-place match against the Scots. Midler and Sprinzen scored the lone point for the Yeomen with an 8-4 defeat of Rob Ashmead and Andrew Garnett.
