April 21, 2007 -- The
Oberlin College men's tennis team defeated the visiting Earlham College this afternoon, 9-0. With the defeat, the Yeomen improved to 8-12 overall (3-3 NCAC), while Earlham fell to 0-7 overall (0-2 NCAC). Oberlin took all three doubles matches and all six singles matches in the victory.
In his final home match, senior Arthur Zeyda defeated Aaron Weeden, 6-0, 6-0, in singles. In doubles, Zeyda and junior Ezra Goldman defeated Earlham's Aaron Weeden and Darut Prasertsri, 8-0.
Singles winners, in the final home match of the season, were junior Chris Pray, sophomore David Midler, Zeyda, Goldman, junior Colin Burling, and junior Tom Page.
Doubles winners included Pray and Burling, Midler and Goldman, and Zeyda and Page.
Oberlin returns to action April 24, when it visits Kenyon College. The NCAC match is set to begin at 4:30 p.m.
