Yeomen Edged By Allegheny, 4-5

April 6, 2007 -- The Oberlin College men's tennis team was defeated, 4-5, by Allegheny College today in the Heisman Field House. With the defeat, the Yeomen fell to 7-7 (2-2 NCAC), while the Gators improved to 6-7 (3-0 NCAC). Oberlin fell in two of its three doubles matches and three of the six singles matches in the contest.

Singles winners for the Yeomen included junior Chris Pray, junior Colin Burling, and junior Tom Page. Senior Arthur Zeyda and Page defeated Allegheny's Evan Gordon and Ben Hurtuk, 8-1, in doubles competition.

The Yeomen return to action tomorrow when they travel to Case Western Reserve for a non-conference battle. The match is set to begin at 11:00 a.m.
