-- Oberlin traveled to Hiram this afternoon for a North Coast Athletic Conference men's soccer contest. The Yeomen were unable to overcome two first-half goals by the Terriers as the hosts claimed a 2-1 league victory. Hiram improved to 11-3-2 overall and 3-3-1 in the NCAC with the win, while Head Coach Blake New's Yeomen fell to 7-6-3 (2-4-1 NCAC).
Hiram scored twice in the first 16 minutes of the game to jump out to a 2-0 advantage. Kyle Taljan scored to open up the second half, but Oberlin was unable to score again despite out-shooting Hiram, 7-6.
Hiram's David Krems scored both of his team's goals today.
Oberlin will host Kenyon on October 24 for its next contest.
