-- Baldwin-Wallace visited Oberlin this afternoon for a non-conference men's soccer contest at Fred Shults Field. The Yellow Jackets entered the game ranked fifth in the region, but that didn't stop the Yeomen from jumping out to a 2-0 lead. The visitors scored two goals in the second period and neither team could score in two overtimes, as the game ended in a 2-2 tie. Oberlin is now 3-1-2 on the year and hasn't lost at home for 12 straight games (four this season, eight in 2006). BW is now 3-0-1 after the draw.
Oberlin's Luke Hoffman and Sam Zackheim scored goals today, while goalkeeper Zach Lipshultz saved six shots in 110 minutes of action. BW out-shot the Yeomen, 14-10.
The Yeomen will play next on September 15 when they host Otterbein College at 2:00 p.m.
