Sam Zackheim (Jr.)

October 2, 2006 -- Sam Zackheim, a junior midfielder from Portland, Ore. (Lincoln High School), was named the North Coast Athletic Conference's Player of the Week. This marks the second straight week that an Oberlin men's soccer player has received player of the week honors from the NCAC.

Zackheim paced the Yeomen in a 3-1 home conference victory over Hiram on Sept. 26 by scoring two goals. For the season, he leads Oberlin with nine points (four goals and one assist).

The men's soccer team and Zackheim will return to action tomorrow evening when they travel to Allegheny College (Pa.) for a 7:00 p.m. NCAC contest.
