Men's Soccer Blanks Lake Erie College, 1-0
First-year Skyler Dum's goal leads Yeomen past Storm

September 1, 2006 -- A goal from first-year forward Skyler Dum with an assist from sophomore Kyle Taljan 15:40 into today's contest against Lake Erie College gave the Oberlin College men's soccer team all it would need to cruise to a 1-0 non-conference home victory. With the win, the Yeomen jumped to 1-0, while Lake Erie slipped to 0-1.

Oberlin tallied 11 shots and two corner kicks today, while the Storm put together four shots and four corner kicks. Senior tri-captain Clayton Combe saved two shots in goal for the Yeomen.

Heidelberg College will visit Oberlin tomorrow for a 3:00 p.m. non-conference contest.
