April 19 – The College of Wooster took advantage of Oberlin’s injury-plagued defense as the Scots defeated the Yeomen 21-2 in a North Coast Athletic Conference men’s lacrosse tilt on Saturday afternoon.
Oberlin was able to hang around early as Rob Bond took an assist from Nick Zoroya to make it a 2-1 Wooster advantage at the 9:58 mark of the first quarter. Unfortunately, the rest of the quarter belonged to the Scots as they led 7-1 after the first 15 minutes.
Erik Strand added an Oberlin goal with 9:15 left on the second-quarter clock, but Wooster’s offense was relentless for the entire 60 minutes while its defense shut down the Yeomen the rest of the way.
Drew Zambelli played in the cage the entire 60 minutes, registering 14 saves.
