Men's Lacrosse Stumbles in Final Contest

Final Stats

May 3 –The Oberlin College Yeomen could not muster the necessary offensive output during the final contest of the 2008 season falling to the Presidents of Washington and Jefferson College 17-3.

It was a frustrating day on both the offensive and defensive ends of the field.  Oberlin was unable to take advantage of thirteen Washington and Jefferson penalties and were outshot 56-30.

The Yeomen capitalized just three times in front of the cage.  Erik Strand, Alex Jacobs and Nick Thypin-Bermeo each put one past the Presidents’ goalie.  They recorded their 15th, 17th and 11th goals on the season, respectively.

The Yeomen Goalie’s, Drew Zambelli and Alex Frank combined for 20 saves.  Zambelli recorded most of the stops before giving way to Frank.

The Yeomen will conclude the 2008 season with an alumni event Saturday, May 10 in Oberlin.
