Men's Lacrosse Edged by Visiting Washington and Jefferson, 8-10

April 18, 2007 -- The Oberlin men's lacrosse squad was edged by Washington and Jefferson this afternoon 8-10 in a non-conference contest at Savage Stadium. With the loss, the Yeomen's three-game winning streak comes to a close and their record slips to 3-6 overall. The Presidents improved to 2-9 with the road victory.

Four different Yeomen scored two goals each today, with first-year Erik Strand leading the way with two scores, six ground balls, and two face-offs. Ian Mark, Nick Sherman, and Alex Jacobs also scored twice for Head Coach Kevin Walz.

Washington and Jefferson was led by Sean Jasionowski's three goals and one assist.

Oberlin will look to rebound quickly as Fontbonne University visits Savage Stadium on April 22 for a 1:00 p.m. non-conference showdown.
