Oberlin College Men's Lacrosse Team Earns National Sportsmanship Award

May 30, 2007 -- Head Coach Kevin Walz and the Oberlin men's lacrosse team was recently awarded the 2007 Jim "Ace" Adam Award for Sportsmanship by the District 6 Men's Division Officials Council.

The Jim Adam Award is awarded by each district to the institution serviced by the MCOC within District 6 (only one winner for NCAA Divisions I, II, and III). The recipient institution is judged on behavior of coaches, players, fans, and facilities available to officials and administration of cooperation with officiating crews. Past winners the past two seasons include the University of Michigan and Wittenberg University.
