-- The Oberlin men's lacrosse team (3-9) was edged by Colorado College (4-6) 9-13 this afternoon at Savage Stadium, but not before senior Bryan Harfenist scored his 100th career goal. The quad-captain led the Yeomen today with three goals.
After trailing 3-7 at the intermission, Head Coach Kevin Walz's put together an impressive third quarter in which they outscored Colorado 5-3 to get within 10-8 heading into the final period. Colorado held off a stingy and inspired Yeomen offense, though, to secure the four-goal road win.
First-year Alex Jacobs also had three scores for Oberlin, while classmate Nick Sherman scored twice and sophomore Jesse Kane netted one goal. Junior goalkeeper Drew Zambelli had an impressive game today for the Yeomen, saving 17 shots in 60 minutes of action.
Colorado was paced by Ted Nash, who tallied a game-high four goals.
Oberlin will conclude its 2007 season on May 2 at Kenyon College (4:30 p.m.).
