Oberlin looked to pick up its first win of the season
this afternoon at Haverford, but the host Fords cruised
to a 58-35 non-conference victory over the Yeomen.
With the loss, Oberlin is now 0-2 on the year.
The Yeomen out-scored Haverford 22-20
in the second period; however, Oberlin couldn't overcome
a 13-38 half-time deficit. Four Haverford players reached
double-figures in the win.
First-year James Tompsett led Oberlin
in the loss with 13 points and five rebounds in 25
minutes of action. Mike Loll, who was named to the
all-tournament team, added five points, eight boards,
three assists, and a block.
Oberlin will host its first game of the
year on November 21 against Thomas More College.
