Yeomen Defeated by Haverford, 35-58

November 17, 2007 -- Oberlin looked to pick up its first win of the season this afternoon at Haverford, but the host Fords cruised to a 58-35 non-conference victory over the Yeomen. With the loss, Oberlin is now 0-2 on the year.

The Yeomen out-scored Haverford 22-20 in the second period; however, Oberlin couldn't overcome a 13-38 half-time deficit. Four Haverford players reached double-figures in the win.

First-year James Tompsett led Oberlin in the loss with 13 points and five rebounds in 25 minutes of action. Mike Loll, who was named to the all-tournament team, added five points, eight boards, three assists, and a block.

Oberlin will host its first game of the year on November 21 against Thomas More College.
