January 2 -- Anderson University capitalized on 29 Oberlin College turnovers to defeat the Yeomen 94-63 Wednesday night in men's basketball.
The Ravens used full-court pressure all evening to take Oberlin out of any offensive rhythm. Anderson put four players in double figures, led by a 15 point, five rebound effort from senior forward Keith Dabney.
The Yeomen shot 50% from the field thanks, in part, to the sharp-shooting of Omari Hall. The junior guard had a career night, hitting six of eight shots while netting 17 points. Junior Mike Loll added 13 points and eight rebounds, while first-year Gian Chiu chipped in 12 points.
"They hit 25 of 36 free throw attempts," Head Coach Isaiah Cavaco said, "and we only made it to the line six times. This is great preparation for us. We have seen every different style of play so far, so we should not be surprised by anything in the conference."
Oberlin falls to 2-8 overall, while Anderson ups its record to 5-6. Oberlin travels to Wittenberg University on Saturday for a 4:00 p.m. clash with the Tigers.
