Chris Schubert Best in Nation in All-Purpose Yardage
Football team has already set numerous records in 2007

Chris Schubert (Sr.)

October 2, 2007 -- Senior wide receiver Chris Schubert, a product of local Oberlin High School, and the Oberlin College football team have already done a number on the school record books in 2007. After Oberlin's 49-14 victory against Hiram, here are the career records that Schubert currently holds:

All-Time Receiving Yards: 2,299
Receiving Touchdowns: 23
Kickoff Return Yards: 2,337
Punt Return Yards: 473

Schubert needs just 40 more pass receptions for the all-time mark, and three more touchdowns for the all-time overall touchdown record of 32. Junior running back R.V. Carroll currently has 25 overall career touchdowns. Against the Terriers, he also set a new standard in single-game punt return yardage (119). He currently leads Division III in all-purpose yards (1,149) and is ranked 15th in total receiving yards (486).

Additionally, first-year Zach Richard established a new single-game school record for the most made extra points in this past Saturday's win. Richard knocked in seven extra points against the Terriers, breaking Mike Tomlinson's (against Kenyon in 2006) and Steve Willever's (two times) shared record of six.

Earlier this season at Heidelberg, junior quarterback Greg Mangan also broke his own single-game school record with 367 passing yards. His previous mark of 366 was set at home last season against Heidelberg.
