October 20, 2007 -- Wabash jumped out to a 20-0 lead on the way to a 45-14 victory over Oberlin Saturday afternoon in Crawfordsville, Indiana.
Scott Kjellberg's seven-yard run put the Yeomen on the board late in the second quarter, but Wabash responded with a 81-yard touchdown pass from Matt Hudson to Gabe Guerrero to take a 26-7 lead at the half.
The Little Giants scored on their first drive of the second half before a seven-yard touchdown run by R.V. Carroll cut the lead to 32-14. Carroll tied Alan Spiegelberg '63 for the Oberlin career touchdown record, finding the endzone for the 32nd time in his career.
Carroll finished the game with 17 carries for 88 yards. Quarterback Greg Mangan threw for 212 yards, completing 23 of 35 attempts with one interception. Chris Schubert led the Oberlin receivers with six catches for 32 yards. Cassius Harris and James Brady each had five receptions. Harris finished with 65 receiving yards, while Brady had 64.
Cody Hartley paced the Oberlin defensive effort with 11 tackles.
Oberlin (3-4, 3-1 NCAC) travels to Wittenberg University on Saturday.
