April 28 – Former Oberlin College football standout Chris Schubert has been invited to take part in the Cleveland Browns Mini Camp, which run from Thursday through Sunday at the Browns Complex in Berea, Ohio.
February 4 – The Oberlin College football team held its annual year-end banquet on Sunday afternoon, honoring the players for their outstanding efforts in 2007.
Schubert and Palmer Play in All-American Bowl
January 11 – Last month Oberlin College seniors Chris Schubert and Chase Palmer participated in the All-American Bowl All-Star Game at the Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minn.
Eight Yeomen named to all-conference team
November 21 -- Eight Oberlin College football players were recently named All-North Coast Athletic Conference after incredible seasons for Head Coach Jeff Ramsey. The Yeomen compiled a 5-2 record in conference play, good for third place, and shattered over 30 records during the 2007 campaign.
R.V. Carroll, a junior running back from Perry, Ohio, was named the NCAC's Offensive Player of the Year after leading the league in rushing (103.8 yards per game), scoring (9.8 points per game), and touchdowns (16). He is the first Oberlin player to ever lead the NCAC in any of the three categories. Carroll, who moves to the first team after earning second team recognition in 2006, was the only 1,000-yard rusher in the NCAC this season, compiling 1,038 yards on the ground.
First-Year Zach Richard Named NCAC Offensive Player of the Week
November 12 -- Zach Richard, a first-year kicker for the Oberlin College football team, was named the Offensive Player of the Week by the North Coast Athletic Conference. Richard led Oberlin past Allegheny for the first time since 1985 with a thrilling televised (SportsTime Ohio) 27-22 victory over the Gators this past Saturday.

Jeff Ramsey's Oberlin football team earned a huge win
today over visiting Allegheny College, 27-22, in front
of a crowd of over 2,500 at Savage Stadium. The Yeomen
hadn't defeated the Gators since 1985, and by holding
off a late comeback attempt by Allegheny, Oberlin claimed
sole possession of third place in the North Coast Athletic
Conference with an impressive 5-2 league record.
November 7 -- The Oberlin College vs. Allegheny College football game this Saturday will be broadcast by SportsTime Ohio this weekend. There has been a time change from what has been originally released and published in the Oberlin Football Media Guide.
