-- Oberlin's field hockey team looked to win its second straight game today as it faced Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. The Yeowomen held off the scoreboard, though, falling 0-6 in the non-conference road contest. With the loss, Oberlin is now 1-1 on the young season.
Leading Oberlin today was senior goalkeeper Lauren Malinowski, who had five saves. The Yeowomen had 12 shots for the day, while Centre had 17 shot attempts. Centre was led by Teresa Johnstone, who had a hat trick in the win.
Oberlin will play next on September 5 when it hosts North Coast Athletic Conference opponent Ohio Wesleyan University at 4:30 p.m.
