-- The Oberlin field hockey team began its 2007 season in excellent fashion by defeating Transylvania University, 4-0. After taking a 1-0 lead into the intermission, the Yeowomen rallied for three goals in the final period to claim the non-conference win.
Leading Oberlin today was junior attacker Abigail Brox, who scored two goals and also passed for an assist. Also scoring goals for the Yeowomen were Ashley Allen and Catherine Meredith.
Oberlin will continue its Kentucky trip tomorrow by squaring off against Centre College at 10:00 a.m.
