March 18 – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association recognized eight Oberlin College field hockey athletes and the entire 2007 team for academic excellence.
March 11 – Head field hockey coach Deb Ranieri announced the addition of three newcomers to her field hockey program for the fall of 2008.
November 20 -- After outstanding 2007 seasons for the Oberlin College field hockey team, five Yeowomen were recently named All-North Coast Athletic Conference.
Leading the way in the All-NCAC voting was junior Abigail Brox (Manchester, Mass./St. George's School), who received first team all-league recognition. Brox scored nine goals this season and dished out three assists. She was also a first team selection last year and in 2005.
Field Hockey Players Receive All-Region Honors
November 12 -- Three Oberlin field hockey players received All-Region honors for their outstanding play during the 2007 season. Defender Gillian Winbourn, just a first-year, received first team All-Region honors, while senior Christine Politis and junior Abigail Brox both earned second team All-Region accolades.
Also, after the Yeowomen's North Coast Athletic Conference playoff appearance, Winbourn and Brox received all-tournament honors. For the team's 2007 final statistics, please Click Here.
-- The Oberlin field hockey squad traveled southwest to Springfield, Ohio, to face North Coast Athletic Conference rival Wittenberg University in a Halloween league semifinal contest. The Tigers rolled to a 7-3 win over the Yeowomen. The 10 goals set the NCAC tournament record for most goals scored by two teams. Wittenberg, the #1 seed in the tournament, will play in the NCAC championships match on Saturday.
October 30 -- The Oberlin field hockey team will travel to Wittenberg University tomorrow for a North Coast Athletic Conference semifinal contest in Springfield, Ohio. October 29 -- Senior field hockey standout Kaitlin Barrer and first-year women's soccer player Lois Immerman were both named the North Coast Athletic Conference's Players of the Week in their respective sports. Barrer had an outstanding game in her final regular season contest at Oberlin, while Immerman stood out in the Yeowomen's win over Hiram College.

defeated visiting Denison University this afternoon,
2-1, qualifying for the North Coast Athletic Conference
tournament. The Yeowomen improved to 8-10 overall and
7-5 in the NCAC with the victory.
-- Everything was even in today's North Coast Athletic Conference field hockey contest between Oberlin College and Wittenberg University except the final score. The Yeowomen and Tigers both tallied 11 shots and four penalty corners in the match, but host Wittenberg was able to score early in the second half to secure a 1-0 victory in Springfield, Ohio.
