Women's Harriers Move Up in National Rankings

October 20, 2006 -- Head Coach Ray Appenheimer's women's cross country team moved up in the national rankings this week after this past Saturday's defeat of Kenyon College. The Yeowomen will take their #24 ranking into the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships on October 28 at Earlham College (Ind.). The preseason favorite to win the conference title, Oberlin is the highest ranked NCAC squad in the country.

"The team is thrilled that people from around the country are recognizing the hard work and great racing we've been doing this season," Appenheimer said. "Over the next fews weeks it will be exciting to test ourselves against the best in our conference, our region, and hopefully the nation."
