Cross Country Teams Picked to Challenge for the 2006 North Coast Athletic Conference Championships Yeowomen earn top position in North Coast Athletic Conference preseason poll
August 21, 2006 -- The Oberlin women's and men's cross country teams were picked to be contenders for the North Coast Athletic Conference Championship this fall in a vote conducted by the conference coaches. The Yeowomen, who tied with Denison University for first place with 73 points in the preseason poll, led all NCAC teams with five first-place votes. The Yeomen were picked fifth in the poll with 57 total points.
Both squads boast talent and depth for the 2006 season. The Yeowomen will aim to gain their first NCAC crown since the 1984 season, when they won the recently-formed NCAC's first-ever women's cross country championship.
