On February 2, 1998, Lahetta became the 21st coach in the 121-year history of the Oberlin College baseball program. Inheriting a program that had four head coaches in five years and a team that only won twelve games in the seven preceding years, Lahetta has built the program to its most competitive stage in Oberlin College baseball history. He finished the 2006 season third on the all-time coaching victories list with 80. Lahetta trails legendary Heisman Club Hall-of-Fame coach Guy Throner with 166 victories in thirty seasons spanning from 1925-1954.
Since his arrival, Lahetta has recruited solid student-athletes, organized a fall baseball program, implemented a off-season strength & conditioning program, and organized & fund-raised for an annual spring break trip to places like Ft. Myers and Clearwater, Florida.
Prior to being named head coach in 1998, Lahetta served as the Yeomen pitching coach for three seasons. Lahetta began his coaching career as a graduate-assistant at his alma mater Bowling Green State University. For the Falcons, Lahetta served as the first base coach and worked extensively with the outfielders. In addition, Lahetta was a member of the front office for the Cleveland Indians Double-A affiliate, the Canton-Akron Indians, currently the Akron Aeros.
A 1992 graduate of Bowling Green State University, Lahetta earned a Bachelor of Science degree in sports administration and management and a master of education in athletic and recreation administration and management in 1994. He was a member of the Falcon baseball team during the 1990 and 1991 seasons. Prior to attending BGSU, Lahetta attended Ohio Wesleyan University where he was a member of the baseball and football teams.
Lahetta is a 1986 graduate of Marion L. Steele in Amherst, Ohio, where he was a letterwinner in football and baseball. He is still active as a player, participating in the Northeast Ohio Cleveland Roy Hobbs Baseball Federation, Lahetta has also participated in the Roy Hobbs World Series in Fort Myer's, Florida during the past eight years. Lahetta resides in Amherst with his two children, Mackenzie and Cody.

Abrahamowicz began his first season with the Oberlin baseball program in 2005, working with the Yeomen's pitchers, catchers, and outfielders. During the summer, Abrahamowicz coaches the Go Baseball Veterans in the Erie Shores Collegiate League. The Veterans have won the ESCL tournament and advanced to the NABF College World Series in 2005 and 2006 with a combined record of 56-24 and a Final Four appearance in 2006.
In the spring of 2004, Abrahamowicz served as head coach at Lorain Catholic High School, leading the Spartans to a district final appearance in the school's final year of existence. He has also had coaching stops at Avon Lake, Columbia Station, and Elyria Catholic high schools, coaching baseball and basketball. Also, he served as player-manager and head coach of Lorain UPC in the Cuyahoga County AAA Baseball League, winning the league title in 1997. Abrahamowicz is a 1998 graduate of Tiffin University with a bachelor's degree in justice administration.
A graduate of Lorain Catholic High School, he lettered in baseball, basketball, football, and wrestling over his four years. He resides with his wife, Teresa, and two children, Taylor and Andrew, in Lorain, Ohio.
