April 21, 2007 -- Led
by first-year pitcher Jack Dunn's sixth complete game
and fifth win of the season, the Oberlin baseball team
downed Allegheny 2-0 and lost in the nightcap, 8-13.
After the North Coast Athletic Conference doubleheader
at Dill Field, Oberlin's record stands at 12-18 and
6-6 in league play. The visiting Gators are now 9-16
overall and 5-5 in the NCAC.
In seven innings of scoreless work in
game one, Dunn gave up just four hits and three walks
while striking out eight batters. Offensively, senior

two hits and combined for three stolen bases.
Allegheny utilized a seven-run third
inning to claim the 13-8 win in the second game of
the day. The Yeomen were paced by Alex Sugiura's three
hits, senior Rick Betzel's two doubles, two hits from
sophomore Cal Kyrkostas, and two runs batted in by
Binder. The Gators were led by Jimmy Fernandez, who
went 4-5 with three RBI's.
Oberlin and Allegheny will square off
once again tomorrow for a 12:00 p.m. doubleheader at
