March 10 –Women’s lacrosse starts its season, baseball will try to join them, while men’s lacrosse will not – plus four home tennis matches all highlight the week ahead in Oberlin athletics.

Women’s Tennis ...The Yeowomen's six-match homestand will continue this weekend when they welcome conference rivals Ohio Wesleyan and Wittenberg to town ... the Yeowomen will first take on the Battling Bishops on Saturday, March 15, at 2:30 p.m., before clashing with the Tigers on Sunday at noon.

Men’s Tennis ... OC will host Grove City on Tuesday (March 11) at 5 p.m., before battling Washington & Jefferson on Saturday at 10 a.m.

Softball ... Oberlin will return to the diamond for a doubleheader against Lake Erie College on Saturday (March 15) at 1 p.m.

Baseball ... Weather 4 – Yeomen 0 … Oberlin lost four games this past weekend as it was slated to open up the 2008 campaign in Berea, Ky. at the Mountaineer Classic … Mother Nature had another idea in mind as snow covered the fields all cross the state to force the cancellation of the tournament ... (FF) ... The Yeomen will now try to kickoff their season this coming weekend at the Foothills Classic in Maryville, Tenn. Oberlin will have a doubleheader against the host school, Maryville College on Friday (March 14) at 4 p.m., before taking on Thiel College on Saturday at 1 p.m. in another twinbill … OC will then complete its six-game weekend by making a stop in Berea, Ky. to take on the Mountaineers of Berea College on Sunday at noon in another double-dip to makeup at least two of the four games it lost this past week

Men’s Lacrosse ... Like baseball, the men’s lacrosse team has been dealing with horrific weather as they have now canceled Wednesday’s match against Adrian College … Oberlin will try to finally start the season on March 22 when they are scheduled to play at the University of the South.

Women's Lacrosse ... Looking to build off of last season’s 6-9 record, the Yeowomen will begin their quest for a conference championship on Wednesday (March 12) when they travel up north to take on Adrian College at 4:30 p.m.
