Membership

The following groups have membership and an ID must be presented at the control desk upon entering. Oberlin College student and employee ID cards are considered your membership card.

1. Students: all full-time and resident students
2. Faculty/Staff: all full and part-time faculty and staff of Oberlin College
3. Family of students & faculty/staff: students and faculty/staff members are welcome to bring their immediate family (spouse/domestic partner &/or dependents under 21). An adult must accompany anyone under 14 at all times.
4. Alumni: alumni may use the Recreation Center upon showing an Alumni ID.
5. Community Members: non-college persons (18 and up) may become Recreation Center members upon payment of the appropriate membership fee. They will be issued an ID card which must be tendered at the control desk each time they enter the facility. An adult must accompany those under 14.

Proof of Oberlin residency is required for the resident rate. Residency can be proven with a picture ID (i.e. driver’s license) that also shows the applicant’s address. If the picture ID does not include the address, the applicant may bring in a utility bill (i.e. gas or electric) that shows the applicant’s address. The name on the bill must match the name on the picture ID.

GUEST FEES
Ages 18 and over $8
Ages 11 – 17 $5
Ages 10 and under $3

The card holders must accompany the guests and remain in the facility as long as their guests stay. Card holders are responsible for their guests at all times in this facility.

LOCKER ROOMS
Locker rooms are located in Philips Physical Education Center, on the first floor. Long-term locker rentals may be made at the Equipment Room. The Athletic Department and Recreation Center are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

EQUIPMENT CHECKOUT
Limited amounts of equipment may be signed out by presenting an ID card at the Equipment Room along with a request card. Available for check out are: basketballs, footballs, soccer balls, golf clubs/balls, tennis, squash and racquetball racquets/ balls, table tennis paddles/balls, and frisbees. Swim caps, goggles, protective eyewear for racquet sports, and other equipment are available for purchase at the Equipment Room.
