Outdoor Facilities

The Savage Football Stadium and Dill Field complex is a 3,000-seat outdoor arena which hosts numerous Oberlin athletics competitions, from football and men's lacrosse to outdoor track and field. It includes a seven-lane all-weather running track.

Oberlin's outdoor facilities also include a basball stadium, softball complex and fields for the men's and women's soccer, field hockey and lacrosse programs.

Construction also began in July of 2006 for a new stadium for athletics and recreation (Click Here to view construction photos). The outdoor facility, which will include an eight-lane state-of-the-art running track and a soccer and lacrosse field, was made possible by a lead gift from Robert Kahn ’55.

Seating for 1,000 spectators and a press box are also being considered as part of the project. The running facility will be known as the Robert Kahn Track, while the soccer and lacrosse field will be named after long-time Oberlin coach Fred Shults '54. Richard Bailey ’51 has donated the funding for the soccer and lacrosse field.
