Travel Guidelines

GENERAL REGULATIONS
The club sport advisor must be made aware of trips that will occur. You must fill out a Travel Roster, which will contain the names of all members traveling, your destination, your departure time from campus, your arrival time back to campus, and lodging information. Club sport members are expected to function in mature and responsible manner on and off campus in all club-related activities in accordance with the code of student conduct. Please remember you are representing your club, your teammates, your advisor, as well as Oberlin College. So please act in an appropriate manner.

SCHEDULING CONSIDERATIONS
Club sport officers should make sure all paper work is completed before departing campus. Officers should also contact the host school to confirm that the contest is as scheduled. This saves from communication errors and unlimited frustration. Any time a trip is canceled or rescheduled, please notify the club sport advisor.

COLLEGE TRANSPORTATION
College transportation opportunities are very scarce. College Transportation is branched off of the Facility Operations Department. The contact person for transportation is Lois Ashby at extension 8445. Any club sport interested in using college transportation should investigate and see what opportunities exist.

NON-COLLEGE TRANSPORTATION
It is the responsibility of club sport officers to ensure that the owners of the vehicles being used for club purposes has adequate automobile insurance coverage. Oberlin College assumes no responsibility for use of private vehicle. The owner of the vehicle assumes all responsibility and all liability. In the use of personal vehicles, sport club members are expected to comply with all state and federal rules and regulations governing the use of vehicles.
