Water Polo (OWP)

Active Since: May, 1993

Competitive water polo demands intelligence, strength, stamina, skill, and above all, consistent teamwork. The superb quality of Oberlin College's academic, athletic, and social life provides an ideal environment for water polo excellence.

The club was founded in 1991 and has finally grown and developed into one of the stronger club sport teams on campus. We offer Oberlin College students, faculty, and staff--both men and women--an opportunity to learn to play water polo just for fun as well as participate in intercollegiate club water polo competition. We welcome players of all levels. Graduate students, faculty members, and other Oberlin College community members are welcome! No previous water polo experience is necessary, though strong swimming ability is recommended.

The Water Polo team competes in the in the Ohio Valley Division of the Collegiate Water Polo Association. The other teams included in this division are: University of Dayton, Miami University of Ohio, and Ohio University.
