May 9 – Oberlin College senior Corey Myers posted a NCAA provisional qualify mark of 15-05.25 in the men’s pole vault to highlight an exciting day of track and field action at the Allegheny Gator Invite on Friday.

May 5 – Making his first-career start for the Oberlin College baseball team, first-year Phil Brua threw a complete-game gem to give the Yeomen a 4-1 victory over Thiel College in their final game of the season.

Hiram Sweeps Oberlin on Sunday

May 4 – The Oberlin College baseball team had their three-game winning streak snapped on Sunday afternoon at Dill Field, losing both ends of a doubleheader to Hiram College by the scores of 5-1 and 12.

Oberlin Golf Completes NCAC Championships

May 4 – The Oberlin College golf team fired off 1,068 strokes over three rounds to place ninth at the NCAC Golf Championships over the weekend.

Men's Lacrosse Stumbles in Final Contest

May 3 – The Oberlin College Yeomen could not muster the necessary offensive output during the final contest of the 2008 season falling to the Presidents of Washington and Jefferson College 17-3.

Men and Women Finish Strong at NCAC Championships

May 2 – The Oberlin College women’s track and field team scored the most points of any third-place finisher in NCAC history, while the men’s team recorded their best conference finish in school history by placing fourth at the NCAC Championships on Friday.

Baseball Tops Lake Erie, 10-7

May 1 – The Oberlin College baseball team won their third-straight game as they defeated the Lake Erie College Storm, 10-7, on Thursday night in a nine inning non-conference tilt at The Pipeyard in Lorain, Ohio.

Women Third; Men Fifth After Day One of NCAC Championships

May 1 – It was a good first day for the Oberlin College track and field team as the Yeowomen rest in third place with 34 points, while the men are in fifth with 23 points.

Yeomen Unable to Hold Off Kenyon

April 30 – The Oberlin College men’s lacrosse team was unable to overcome a slow start against NCAC foe Kenyon College this afternoon, falling 22-14.  For five seniors it was the final home contest at Savage Stadium.

Softball Ends Season With a Sweep of Franciscan

April 29 – The Oberlin College softball team ended their season on a high note, by taking down Franciscan University 9-6 and 12-5 on Tuesday evening.

Cantrill’s Single In the 10th Gives Oberlin Another Walk-Off Win

April 29 – Down to his final strike, first-year Brandon Cantrill came through with the biggest hit of his young career – lifting a fly ball to medium-deep center field that found green pasture to propel the Oberlin College baseball team to an exciting 12-11 extra-inning win over John Carroll on Tuesday afternoon.

April 28 – Former Oberlin College football standout Chris Schubert has been invited to take part in the Cleveland Browns Mini Camp, which run from Thursday through Sunday at the Browns Complex in Berea, Ohio.

Oberlin to Host 2010 NCAA Division III Men’s Tennis Championships

April 28 – Oberlin College has been awarded the 2010 NCAA Division III Men’s Tennis Championships, President Marvin Krislov announced on Saturday. The event will take place at the newly dedicated Don Hunsinger Courts.

Taljan Breaks School Record to Place Second; Schultz Ends in Third

April 27 – Oberlin College junior Kyle Taljan registered 5,732 points in the decathlon to establish a new school record and earn a second-place finish at the 2008 NCAC Multi-event Championships on Oberlin’s campus this weekend.

Yeomen Grab Their Second Walk-off Win of the Weekend
