From the man who gave you Bolero comes two sensational operatic “10s.” In L’Heure espagnole, a clock workshop becomes a garden of love in which a series of suitors employ entertaining antics to earn the affections of Concepción, the clock maker’s wife. L’Enfant et les sortileges features a misbehaving child who tortures his toys, only to have them turn on him after his bedroom transforms into a garden. In both operas, Ravel’s brilliant orchestration is met with enchanting characters and thrilling narratives that will provide opera fans with a night of excitement and wonder.
