Go where no audience has gone before with Haydn’s setting of “The World on the Moon,” which spins a light, magical fairy tale mixed with humor, wit, and a hint of fantasy. A rich patsy with bundles of money and two marriageable daughters gets bamboozled out of all three when a charlatan suitor plays on the elderly Buonafede’s hobby: astronomy.
*Subscription includes both operas
