Remembering William E. and Eleanor "Bumpy" Stevenson and Oberlin in the 1940s and early 1950s

The Oberlin College Classes of 1946, 1947, and 1948 will be honored during commencement week 2007.   During their student days at Oberlin (spring 1946), William E. Stevenson was named eighth president of Oberlin College.

The College Archives holds two collections, The William E. Stevenson Presidential Papers (2/8), and the William Edwards and Eleanor Bumstead Stevenson Papers (30/219), that document his service as President of Oberlin College, as well as the Stevensons' other activities, including their service to the American Red Cross during World War II.

For further information, please see the finding guides to these collections by clicking on the links above.
