RG 30/102 - Kathryn Reinhard Albrecht (1889-1950)
Scope and Content
The papers consist entirely of newspaper clippings, which document the local events of Lorain County, Amherst and Oberlin in particular. Aside from the first few obituary clippings in volume 1 of the scrapbooks that contain information about the deaths of the Albrechts’ two sons, there is scant documentation concerning Kathryn Albrecht and her family.
Series Descriptions

Series 1. Scrapbooks, 1913, 1928-1948

This series consists of three scrapbooks dating from 1928 to 1948 and contain obituaries of area residents. As Mrs. Albrecht lived north of Oberlin, the obituary subjects were from mainly Oberlin and Amherst. The clippings in the scrapbooks are arranged chronologically.

Series 2. Miscellaneous Items, 1934-47

There is also a folder labeled “Miscellaneous Items” that contains newspaper clippings (mainly wedding announcements and anniversaries) about local individuals, and articles of miscellaneous topics. The clippings are arranged alphabetically by last name or topic within the folder.

Provenance
The papers of Kathryn Albrecht were received in one accession from Mrs. George Reese in 1977.
